POV: You’ve just hauled home 2 pounds of freshly plucked apples and are looking for a way to incorporate into a charcuterie board.
These three cheeses provide the ultimate sweet savory combination with fresh apples:
- Sharp Cheddar

Apple Pie Dip w/ Pie Crust Rounds:
Ingredients
1 stick of butter
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 TSP of salt
3-4 TSP of flour
3 medium-large granny smith apples
2 TBSP of brown sugar
1 TSP of cinnamon
Apple Pie Dip:
- Peel, core and dice granny smith apples into fine pieces.
- Heat pan to medium heat.
- Melt butter. Add sugar. Stir until melted. Add apples. Cook on medium for 5-7 minutes.
- Lower heat, and simmer until apples are tender or for approximately 7 additional minutes.
- Remove from pan and allow to cool.
Pie Crust Rounds:
- Cube cold stick of butter and add to food processor.
- Add flour & salt.
- Slowly pulse and add cold water tablespoon by tablespoon until crumbly mixture achieved.
- Let cool overnight.
- Roll out dough until thin.
- With help of a circular cookie cutter (or smaller glass), cut into circular rounds.
- Cover with egg wash & sugar.
- Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until golden brown depending on the size of your cut out.
- Allow cone to fully cool, serve & enjoy!
Simple Oven Baked Apple Chips:
Ingredients:
2-3 firm Gala Apples
1 TSP of Cinnamon
1 TSP of brown sugar
- Peel, core and thinnly slice apples.
- Place apples on a towel and pat dry to obsorb excess water.
- Heat oven to 200.
- Add apples to bowl. Toss and fully coat with cinnamon and sugar.
- Line on a parchment paper.
- Bake at 200 for 1 hour.
- Flip apples to opposite side. Cook for an additional hour.
- Serve & enjoy!
